PP-HAL, PP-MAG, PP-PAK series actuated double-eccentric butterfly valves

Double-Offset Butterfly Valves – Series PP-PAK, PP-MAG, PP-HAL

Double-offset butterfly valves of the PP-PAK, PP-MAG, and PP-HAL series with actuators are available in a wide range of material configurations (body, disc, seal) and are manufactured with various types of actuators. They are intended for shut-off and control of media in water systems (e.g. sanitary installations, fire-fighting systems), sugar solutions, air, oxygen (in this case supplied in a degreased version), hydrocarbons (e.g. gasoline, diesel, glycerin), ethyl alcohol, steam, and other media.

Thanks to the use of a sealing system mounted in the body by means of a threaded seat retainer ring, the valve body is manufactured as a “monoblock” (single-piece) design, which prevents potential leakage of the medium from the installation. In addition, the use of seat retainer rings allows easy replacement of the valve disc seals. The diameters of the seat retainer rings are selected for individual valve sizes so that their outer diameters fit between the outer and inner diameters of the gaskets used for mounting the valves between pipeline flanges and the valve body, which further reduces the risk of installation leakage.

The actuators used in the production of the PP-PAK, PP-MAG, and PP-HAL series double-offset butterfly valves ensure tight shut-off in accordance with the declared leakage class, easy opening, and smooth control. Actuators are selected depending on the required valve diameter, nominal pressure and temperature, type of medium, and operating parameters (operating temperature and pressure as well as differential pressure).

Double-offset butterfly valves with actuators of the PP-PAK, PP-MAG, and PP-HAL series are manufactured in the following size ranges:

  • DN50 – DN1200 (NPS 2″ – NPS 48″) for pressure classes PN10, PN16, PN25, and Class 150
  • DN65 – DN600 (NPS 2.5″ – NPS 24″) for pressure classes PN25, PN40, and Class 200

Main features of double-offset butterfly valves with actuators – Series PP-HAL, PP-MAG, PP-PAK

  • The valves are designed for disc operation in the range of 0°–90°;
  • The hardness of the valve bodies complies with API 598 and ASME B16.34 standards;
  • Valves with bodies made of A216 WCB material are supplied as standard with an impact test result at –29 °C (minimum 27 J);
  • Upon request, impact testing can be performed at a different temperature and for other body material versions;
  • Valves are available with both soft seats (PTFE and RPTFE) as well as metal-to-metal seats;
  • PP-PAK, PP-MAG, PP-HAL valves (PN25, PN40, and Class 300) are manufactured with a special dust-tight stem design, enabling their use with highly corrosive media in most applications in the refinery and petrochemical industries at various pressures and temperatures;
  • The stem sealing tightness is tested in accordance with TA-LUFT, ISO 15848-1, and ANSI/ISA-SP-93;
  • All offered valves are also available in material versions compliant with GOST 977-88;
  • Valves with soft seats (PTFE and RPTFE) are manufactured in accordance with leakage class A per PN/EN 12266-1, while valves with metal-to-metal seats comply with leakage class V per ANSI FCI 70-2-2003;
  • One-piece valve stems are of antistatic design and comply with ATEX 94/9/EC, Group II, Category 2GD;
  • All actuator mounting flanges are manufactured in accordance with ISO 5211.
